Awana Children’s Ministry

Awana is a world-wide nonprofit Christian ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship for ages 2-18. Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background.

Springbank provides the Awana program for children and teens during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30PM - 8:00PM. All children are invited to come out to Awana.

Students participate in an opening ceremony, game time, a Bible message, Awana handbook time, and a closing ceremony.

Groups:

  • For young children (2 and 3 years old): Puggles® recognizes the learning ability of two and three year olds by introducing biblical concepts at church and equipping families to teach them at home. This preschool ministry curriculum features playful activities, engaging songs, and simple crafts as well as take-home resources.

  • For preschool children (3 to 5 years old): Cubbies® celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers (3- to 5-year olds) by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word.

  • For Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

  • For 3rd through 6th Grade: T&T (Truth & Training)® curriculum teaches kids the truth of God's Word, trains them to follow Him, and practice His grace.

  • For 7th-9th Grade: Trek. This program challenges students to wrestle with three important questions by allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves, which allows them to own their faith and discover what they believe.

    1) His Story:  This study helps students understand God's story and answers the question, "Who am I?"

    2) His Love: This study focuses on Jesus and His ministry, as told through the Gospel of Luke and answers the question, "Why am I here?"

    3) His People: This study focuses on biblical community as told through the book of Acts and answers the question, "Who's with me?"

  • For 10th-12th Grade: Journey. Goal is to establish students as lifelong disciples through a deep study of God's Word, mobilizing them to live with godly perspective and evident faith. Three years' worth of material supports 10th-12th grade high school ministry.
